毎年8月16日は、五山の送り火で山で火を焚き、文字や絵が見れます。亡くなった方が帰っていく日。

その方の夏の旅程は以下の通り。

8月13日：あの世からの入り口のお墓に到着し、家族のお迎えで家へ向かう。
8月14～15日：家で家族とゆっくり過ごす。
8月16日：送り火を背に、再びお墓を経由してあの世へ帰る。

…お墓はドアの役目で、2日間は家族が増えます(笑)

Every year on August 16, fires are lit on the mountains as part of the Gozan Okuribi festival, creating patterns of characters and images. This is the day when the spirits of the departed return home.

Their summer itinerary is as follows:

August 13: They arrive at the grave—the gateway from the afterlife—and head home, welcomed by their family.

August 14–15: They spend a relaxing time at home with their family.

August 16: With the Okuribi fires behind them, they return to the afterlife, once again passing through the grave.

…The grave serves as a door, and for two days, the family grows (lol).

Chaque année, le 16 août, on allume des feux dans les montagnes lors des « Gozan no Okuribi » (feux d’adieu des cinq montagnes), où l’on peut admirer des caractères et des dessins. C’est le jour où les défunts rentrent chez eux.

Le programme estival de cette personne est le suivant :

13 août : arrivée au cimetière, qui sert de porte d’entrée vers l’au-delà, puis retour à la maison où la famille vient les accueillir.

14 et 15 août : moments de détente en famille à la maison.

16 août : avec les feux d’adieu en toile de fond, retour vers l’au-delà en passant à nouveau par le cimetière.

… Le cimetière fait office de porte, et pendant deux jours, la famille s’agrandit (rires).

Der Sommeraufenthalt dieser Person sieht wie folgt aus:

13. August: Ankunft am Grab, dem Eingang zur jenseitigen Welt, und Rückkehr nach Hause, wo die Familie sie empfängt.

14.–15. August: Gemütliche Zeit mit der Familie zu Hause.

16. August: Mit den „Okuribi“-Feuern im Rücken kehren sie über das Grab wieder in die jenseitige Welt zurück.

… Das Grab fungiert als Tür, und zwei Tage lang wächst die Familie (lacht).

Cada año, el 16 de agosto, se encienden hogueras en las montañas con motivo de los «Okuribi» de los Cinco Montes, donde se pueden ver letras y dibujos. Es el día en que los difuntos regresan a su hogar.

El itinerario de verano de esa persona es el siguiente:

13 de agosto: llegan a la tumba, que hace las veces de puerta de entrada al más allá, y la familia los recibe para acompañarlos a casa.

14-15 de agosto: pasan unos días tranquilos en casa con la familia.

16 de agosto: con las hogueras de despedida a sus espaldas, regresan al más allá pasando de nuevo por la tumba.

…La tumba hace las veces de puerta, y durante esos dos días la familia crece (jeje).

This review was written with help from my 8 year who loved this experience. Eureka is such a generous person and made my family feel right at home. She showed us everything we needed to know about the Japanese harp. We had a lot of questions and she kindly answered them all.  She was so excited to hear our playing. At first we weren’t very good but she taught us so much! She is so patient, kind and so hospitable. This was my favorite experience in Kyoto. We started out by an introduction to the Japanese harp and learned how to position ourselves and the proper way to pluck the strings and we had sheet music for playing and it was amazing. My family loved it! After this, Eureka let us put on kimonos, we played beautiful music using very methods that were very easy to understand. This was followed by fun memories and playing music together. This lovely experience ended with Japanese tea (warm and toasty), Japanese snacks that were very delicious. Eureka played a Japanese song on the harp and she explained the backstory as we enjoyed our food. The experience was very relaxing and my family and I will remember this memory forever. This was a fantastic experience! We loved learning how to play the harp, especially the sakura-themed pieces. It was fascinating to learn about harp musical notation. お琴を弾くという初めての体験をすることが出来て、とても嬉しかったです。 楽器が苦手な私が、こんな短時間で一曲、弾けるようになるなんて、自分でもびっくりしました！ 楽譜も、漢数字が書かれていたり、横ではなく、縦読みだったり、斬新な事ばかりでした。 でも、普通の数字も書き足されていたり、目印がしてあったりと、とても親切で わかりやすかったです！ お友達とワイワイしながら体験してみたのも楽しかったですし、次回は1人でゆっくりと、古風な時間を満喫するのもイイな と思いました！ 着物を羽織らせて頂いて、写真を撮るのも 楽しかったです♪ どれもとても楽しい体験でした！
